Hi, I'm Mandy. I believe true healing begins within the safety we build together.
I strive to create a space where you feel genuinely safe, because that is where real growth takes root. My hope is to offer a corrective emotional experience, one that helps you discover new, healthier ways of relating to yourself and the people you love, far beyond the therapy room. I hold close the belief that when one person begins to heal, the ripple effects strengthen the whole family.
I draw on Trauma-Informed CBT, Family Systems, ACT, Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Play Therapy, and attachment-based approaches. With children and teens I combine individual therapy using play, CBT, ACT, and DBT, and with parents I offer PCIT-informed coaching, so that the whole family can move forward together.
Working With Me
I specialize in working with children and teens facing family conflict, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and difficulties with emotional regulation, alongside parents seeking effective ways to support them. I love helping families strengthen communication and create lasting, positive change together. My hope is that you leave with a clearer understanding of how family dynamics shape your current challenges, along with practical tools for stronger connection and steadier emotions.
Supporting Children and Teens
Young people do not always have the words for what they feel, but they almost always have a way to show us through play, story, and relationship. I offer children and teens a warm, nonjudgmental space where they feel understood, learn to navigate big emotions, and discover healthy ways to express themselves. Using play therapy and developmentally attuned approaches, I help young clients build the emotional skills that will serve them for years to come.
Partnering With Parents
Parents are at the heart of a child's world, and lasting change grows when caregivers feel supported and confident. I partner closely with parents through collateral sessions, offering realistic, mindful parenting strategies that foster secure attachment and co-regulation at home. My goal is to help you feel more grounded in your caregiving, so that the calm and connection a child finds in session continues where it matters most.
Healing That Strengthens the Whole Family
A child's wellbeing is woven into the family around them. When a young person feels truly heard and a parent feels equipped to respond with confidence, the entire household grows steadier together. My work keeps both the individual and the family system in view, helping each member understand one another and build the trust, communication, and connection that let everyone feel more at home. Every family deserves a safe place to grow, connect, and belong together.
A Relational, Insight-Oriented Approach
I use our therapeutic relationship as a safe, low-stakes space to explore, in real time, how you relate to others and to practice healthier patterns. Grounded in psychodynamic understanding, I also help clients look at root causes, familiar patterns, and early attachment experiences, building genuine self-awareness and a clearer emotional perspective.
Education & training
Mandy holds a Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Biola University, with training in Trauma-Informed CBT, DBT, ACT, PCIT, and Child-Centered Play Therapy. Drawing on her clinical experience in community mental health, she combines evidence-based interventions with practical parent coaching to support children, adolescents, and families.
I strive to cultivate a safe space, believing that true healing begins within the safety we build together. My hope is to offer a corrective emotional experience, one that empowers you to discover new, healthier ways of relating to yourself and others outside of therapy.
