I do this work because I deeply believe in the power of empathy and in how healing it is to feel truly understood. My hope is that you come to know your inner world more fully, recognize your own strengths, and feel empowered to live more freely and authentically, guided by your values.
My approach is integrative and client-centered. I draw mainly from psychodynamic and depth-oriented therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), CBT, mindfulness, holistic and Rogerian approaches, somatic work, family systems, and narrative therapy.
As a 1.5-generation bilingual Korean immigrant, I hold an understanding of both Western and Eastern cultural values, and I lead with cultural humility. Therapy is offered in both English and Korean.
Education & training
Andy earned his master's-level education in spiritual and depth-oriented (Jungian) therapy from Antioch University. He is trained in Brainspotting (Phases 1 and 2), TF-CBT, and psychodynamic therapy.
